Oh, by the way, Amiami did double box it.  }D What do you mean by double box? Did it come with an extra box? Mine came inside AmiAmi's large box, the one that has "Fragile" on the sides, well padded with shipping paper, and the boxed toy as in my picture. |

The DX Great Mazinger is definitely better built than the DX Mazinger Z. All pieces snap in solid! No magnetic connections in the chest plate either. Now they attach via collapsible peg. The lights are much brighter than the DX Mazinger Z. The elbows are SOLID! Seriously, the DX Great Mazinger can pass for a regular action figure, that is how solid it was designed. Too bad the DX Mazinger Z was not designed like the DX Great Mazinger.  However...  }D |

I just got mine from my shipping dock... holy heck the box is huge i can tell Amiami packed it very well for this guy...

Might be "Great", but it has dead eyes...  You know, as I was putting these two guys together, I realized I don't really like the sculpt used for Mazinger Z. Great Mazinger's is not too bad, not perfect, but it's almost okay. However, Mazinger Z looks disappointing to me. Huge Popeye's forearms, tiny head, horrible hip "springs" showing, a little too fat (especially next to Great Mazinger. So disappointed now... }( |

And don't be surprised if Bandai releases a DX SOC Mazinger-Z v2.0. (I am saying that they are going to do it, but I do have a sneaky suspicion). Oh, and I have a fix for dead eyes. It called batteries. |

Seriously two small cut pieces of yellow vinyl stickers and done.i mean after initial thrill of electronics we display them without batteries so why not make the eyes yellow.

... ... worth every freaking penny Bandai took from me... they really fixed the elbows...and things just fit right ... Felt like I just had a mini workout getting him out of the box (and yes... I too almost throughout my back lifting this thing into the flat... ) miss the included handles that came with maz dx release, but to be fair the box is a lot bigger this time around....  Scale party one from left to right (yes they all have diecast in them) ---> KO MP-08X oversized Grimlock , DX Greate Mazinger, KO MPP-10 oversized Optimus Prime, Yamato 1/12 Patlabor...  Time for that robot death match we've all been waiting for muahahahaha..  Seriously... we really need Bandai to make a Grendizer to finish the set now... |

Man just got my shipping notice from AE can't wait be in tha club! Great pics man! Patlabor looks sick.wow Greats sword is monolithic! Grendy be cool even without spazer and just the double spazer.i think Gaiking would make a great DX.simple design huge horns! His chest could reveal awesome mechanics...
