We all know Bandai flagships our collecting hobby,BUT do you think they are the best at it?what are their weaknesses? Also who is your favorite company besides Bandai?? Poll your favorite/second favorite company..

Great 2 ups for CMs,ofcourse I chose CMs even though they are now defunct,as you all know,its not a secret that I love CMs,and I happen to have heard from a very reliable source that one of ETs owners is formerly of CMs! This doesnt surprise me as both are brave in choosing rare character SRs!! Bravo!

In my opinion, Bandai is the leader when it comes to our hobby. They set the benchmark with their SOC line, which we collectors default in comparing other toy lines with. Bandai is not afraid of utilizing new technology, and they deliver their products on time. That being said, Bandai is not perfect as they have their share of QC issues like any other to company does. And as any other large corporation, they make some "interesting" business decisions by releasing some questionable products like the Tower of the Sun, Chogokin Hello Kitty, among others. But hey, if those products sell, more power to them. I just wish that they release some classic super robots like Dai Apolon, so I can complete my collection. I liked CM's corporation as an alternative, but due to lack of revenue that company is now gone.  At least we currently have companies Evolution Toy, Sen-Ti-Nel, World Scope, and Miracle Product in collaboration with BU toys to release super robots that Bandai is not interested. |

I love Bandai, but dislike when they "redesign" the classic characters more than what is needed to accommodate articulation and/or gimmicks. One thing I would've love to see was an Aoshima Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer. Man, they would've rocked!  }D |

I'm a little torn on this one, its a toss up between CMS and Sentinel right now for me. I think CMS did a lot of cool releases when they were around and I was very impressed good set of their releases, but sentinel has done a great job as a young start-up on delivering some really sharp releases too... for now I will vote for CMS the one company that gave me my spring loaded gimmicks which, reminded me of my childhood toys  I am hoping that miracle and madtoys will continue to improve on their new release as those guys were ruthless on their use of diecast in their toys |

Hi all,
Evolution Toys has some great sculpts (Grendizer and Mazinger enemy robots, Robot Junior). I have on the way the Mazinger head with Jet Pileder, and am awaiting the release of Barattack

My only CM's robot is Mechander Robo DX version. The sculpt is great! I wish it had some die cast.
The plastic is similar to a styrene car model kit - kinda fragile if handled roughly, and will be damaged if it falls from a shelf display
BTW I also have other CM's products - Combattler V's Chizuru Nanbara figure as well as a 1/64 Suzuki SX4 World Rally Car. It's a shame they went out of business......

Baron, since the post only has only a few votes, I suggest we make a new one, listing all the toy companies we can think of. Actually, that would be a good thread - ask everyone here and collect the info about all the toy companies they know about. Then make the favorite company poll. What do you folks think? }D |
