Baron, I think you solved it! Yes, the black eyes are actually covering the yellow eyes, like sun glasses. When the Pileder is pushed in, it pushes the black eyes down, revealing the yellow eyes. Good job, bro!  }D |

No batteries for the eyes, but I haven't figured out how the eyes switch from black to yellow. Not enough detailed pictures yet. }D look closely without pileder docked you can see an extra higher black piece I'm guessing it has a spring beneath it,when pushed down by the pileder the eyes come down into view.. Think of a clicking pen.... If not I'm not sure because if these are actual pictures of the toy the side by side shots of the head with and without yellow eyes ARE the same head I can see the same small dots/imperfections in the paint on each head unless they photoshopped the yellow it's the same head. OK, that makes sense. Thanks! |

I don't understand the price at all.. How can a high end SRC like Giant Robo come close to the price this has when so much more value is packed in? Maybe Bandai is going to produce a crap load of this figure. Anyway I am not complaining because it is about time that we get "value" and "reasonable pricing" in our hobby. |

It is! A couple of minor tweaks, and a proper OVA paint job (non-metallic), and I can stop looking for the perfect Mazinger Z figure. Now... How about doing the same for Great Mazinger, Grendizer, and Mazinkaiser, Bandai?!!! }D And other non-Dynamic properties like Go Lion, Dairugger XV, and Dia Apolon to name a few. |

I really think they could have left the launch beam off the base.. I realize it's supposed to be a nod to GX-01s but It just looks dated.my only complaint really..I am Definately putting this in flight mode the hands are a great first for a Maz Bandai Figure.Lets hope GX whatever is an upgraded Great Maz but that's inevitable I should think..and Bandai needs to give us a Grendy too,mark my words with all the SRC Mazinkaisers and SKLs we got we WILL see a Dynamic Claasic SOC version!

As much as I am exited to eventually get an anime accurate Mazinger-Z.
I don't want for Bandai to focus on milking on "anime accurate" characters that they already released.
I really want them to give me over due super robots like Dai Apolon, Govarian, God Mazinger, and Acrobunch among others...
