Since Diapolon is coming again soon and preorders we're revoked I can guarantee price will go up on new preorder .. I mean Getter Go is over 200$ and it's all plastic! Like most prices of their non diecast combiners... I'm guessing they are gonna up the price... nothing to do with retooling or license I bet!

You might be right, but I doubt it.
Original price, even with the pre-order discount, was pretty high.
If ET jacks-up the price, they it will alienate consumers who will not be able to purchase it unless it goes on a big discount sale.
Which in turn will hurt ET's profits, and puss retailers.

Yeah but there plastic combiners all cost the same price.. why I'm thinking a metal on they would want more and maybe no profit unless they jack it? What other reason would you think? If it's licensing they wouldn't say returning,and an engineering change wouldn't warrant cancelling or orders I don't think? What do u think CFF?

I think that pre-orders were prematurely open while waiting for licensor approval.
Licensor got upset and pre-orders had to be pulled back.
Then again, I might be wrong.

Ok so here's the deal no diecast in Diapalon, so I'm guessing I was right they decided they were not charging enough or it wasn't feasible at that price with diecast in it... so now all plastic..... But what do us AmiAmi guys do??? Don't think other stores shut down their preorders placed...AmiAmi had better relist preorders we gotta look out for that! Maybe I email them..

I don't understand how Nippon-Yasan is still taking pre-orders when other Japanese based retailers state that it was cancelled by the manufacturer. AmiAmi is not the only place that has it cancelled, look at Hobby Search. www.1999.co.jp/eng/10442879Also where is the info that ET is switching the metal content to plastic? If this information does not come from the horse's mouth, it is just pure speculation. I will stop posting about this toy until I see an update from ET. |

They could have called that line Nancy for all I care.
Those painted and unpainted prototypes were clearly Dynamite Action style.
And they looked pretty well advanced.
Not one of the unpainted prototypes shown had metal parts. As a mater of fact the only reference to metal content was on that web-page that ET took down any way. And the pictures on that site were of a painted figure, which they only highlighted where the metal could be.
In any case this fiasco looks bad on ET because apparently they were announcing and soliciting pre-orders for a product that they were not ready to deliver or even haven't invest time to work with. So we are now stuck getting the original Dynamite Action toy that was originally shown.
