Guys im getting good feedback on using background old school imagery,but I dont want it hard on th eyes as one member said,Ive changed it up alot,is teh Great Mazinger working for yous?Or would you rather see the yellow golion background or the old Dairugger one? or? Ill keep it colorful but i see dark colors are better please help.this is after all a board TMZ and I started and id liek it to be a community board but still remain our type of flair for color and what Super Robots are to me,so do you ddig teh background postres?or teh design as now or? Im
definately not down with boring like one color background,sorry if that is what some like,but its just not me or my personality.I also thought of using actual toys in teh background or shelves of my collection? OR would yous rather see a revolving background once a month?

I believe there is a way members can customize the forum. Check out the "profile" section. I think it's there. I used it in RJ, when they changed the colors, and became very diffucult for me to read the stuff there.  }D |

To me, the GMaz one is great on my eyes. I didn't get to see the Yellow Lion one, but Yellow and Red kill my eyes.  }D |

I love the logo and backgrounds, but my eyes cannot tolerate it.
So I changed my personal settings to set the forum theme to CAC Clone Theme, and my eyes are happy.
@robofestivus if you want the first forum theme, go to Profile. Click on Edit Profile button. Click on Settings tab. Set Forum Theme to CAC Clone Theme, and click Save Account Settings button.

I actually did like the backgrounds and logo, and it would be nice if you added them to the posters/art threads, along with any other cool images like that you may have. |

This new GrtMaz background is nice. The darker blue colors provide an easy contrast to the main board, so the dark background is easy on my eyes. Some people's eyes are very sensitive to bright colors and after a while it really strains the eyes while trying to reduce light exposure to the retinas. I browse the internet a lot, and sometimes when I visit a site that looks too "visually busy" and has bright-colored page backgrounds and objects I start to freak out in migraine headaches as long as I'm still on those pages. Stuff such as web flash animations and animated images with bright colors can drive a person insane or into epileptic seizures. Like a forced Rapid Eye Movement. That's rare, but it does happen. Now that I have a new HD screen and viewing everything in 1920x1080 resolution everything feels too bright for my eyes. So, I just dim my screen down to a comfortable level. If the brightness keeps up I'll have pixel burn in my eyes, lol; or as TMZ said I'll catch a tan!  As for how members are viewing this forum, there is a Forum Theme setting in your profile page so that you can choose whatever theme works best for you. So, I guess if that would include more theme options it would help individual viewers relieve the eyes from focal stress. In addition to that, you can also adjust your monitor Brightness/Contrast settings... ...so if a web page looks too bright you can dim your monitor brightness down to a tone that will feel easy on your eyes. That's a pull out poster from a 70's, Japanese TV Magazine, but you probably already knew that. 70's Japanese, TV Magazines featuring Super Robot shows rock. They don't make them like that anymore. |
