I am more interested on Sen-Ti-Nel's version. It is 12-inches tall, has metal, and it is better looking. It is Gen-ti-Nel Global (a Sen-Ti-nel store) exclusive, and pre-orders will close on August 31 Japan time, link gen-ti-nel-global.com/products/detail.php?product_id=4I am still debating, if I should pre-order this guy or not.

Wow! Looks nice! But that one is over $250, and the Ultra-Act is about $40. Of course, there is no comparison between them, as the Gen-ti-Nel's version looks wayyyy better. But, what if you don't like the character afterwards???

This is why I am still hesitant to pre-order. I like the mechanical look, and it is based on the Ultraman series that I watched as a kid. But I am more of a robot collector.
Then again, if I don't like it I can always sell it.
Decisions, decisions...

Is it supposed to be an "Ironman" suit of sorts, or is it a mechanical Ultraman?

I will say that it is a combination of Superman and Iron Man. The story is based on Shijiro Hayata, who is the son of Shin Hayata the original Ultraman. After Ultraman's work is done on Earth and leaves Shin body for good, inadvertently the Ultraman Factor is left behind inside Shin's body. Which is then passed down to his son Shijiro. As Shijiro grows older his powers becomes more dominant. And when extraterrestrials start invading Earth, Shin and his close friend Dr. Ide give Shijiro the Ultraman Suit. So the guy stays in human form, but with Ultraman powers, and has to wear the suit?

Correct. The suit is supposed to enhance his powers.
And the suit was designed by the same artist that work on Linebarrels of Iron.

Well, I just ordered one of the S.H. Figuarts Ultra Act X and its Manga from Amazon. $51 for both shipped is not too bad, right? }D
