I'm getting ready to paint a new custom head for my SRC Mazinger Z figure, and would like to get some tips, if possible, on how to do it the right way. I usually just mask and airbrush my way around, but with as many small details there are on this tiny head, I know a regular old-fashioned brush would be the best way to go. So, anyone got any good advise for me (and everyone else)? Anything helps! }D

By the way, if the Mazinger Z head turns out good, an properly sized SRC Great Mazinger head will follow... }D

when doing eyes do eyes first and then the blue mask,so you can keep edges tight.its all practice really, details are my strong point in art, more details/better details makes more interesting piece.

Got it! Thanks for the tips! I'll be working on them on Monday. Can't choose if I want the crown and mouth-grill in Titanium or Grey colors. I'll just paint one in each color and decide which actually looks better once they are done. }D

Another tip I leaned with a small brush is to set the pieces so that both it, and your hand, are on a solid surface. It allows you to be a little more precise when doing really small detail.

Thanks bro! Tomorrow is the day. My main concerns are the eyes and mouthgrill holes. Those are so small that even the smallest brush (001) is still too big for them... }D

How about using a very fine toothpick? Can you use maskin tape around the eyes and mouth grills?

Thin your paint down and cut some hairs off the brush or use a single hair for very tiny stuff
