Someone in Bandai has gotta go!  Seriously, who is gonna buy that crap?! I could sort of understand if it was a Limited Tamashii Web release, but that turd is a regular release!!! Bandai puts out that crap, but not the Mazinger Weapon Set 2, or Kiba from Gear Fighter Dendoh, or other GGG characters? WTF!!! }[ |

Well, on a positive note, at least Bandai kept this vomit outside of the Super Robot Chogokin line. It is in the plain Chogokin line instead.

I pre-ordered this crap.  I give Bandai props for taking the risk of making this a retail release instead of a TWE, it takes guts to make a risky business decision. Mazinger-Z and Hello Kitty are the most popular characters in Japan, so they are banking on the potential cross collection appeal. Then again it could fail miserably, and this might very well be the last Mazinger-Z repaint, period. Either way, I would not be surprised if it becomes a highly sought after collectible 20 years from now. Just ask any Hot Wheels collector about pink cars. Nobody wanted them when they were kinds, now they are paying crazy money for them. |

LOL... I can't justify it no matter how I look at it... this is just something I would never pay my hard earned $$ for gutsy or not. Bandai is a huge conglomerate, they can afford to take risk. However, if it is risk they want to partake in... why not devote the energy and cost on a lesser known Super Robot into the SRC line like Goddanar as an example. They make enough Gundam and Macross to test other robot lines that may or may be a huge win fall yet again for the company. Heck, I'm pretty sure the new star wars craze with the S.H. Figuarts is going to make them even more money. Sorry I just ranted I realized... must be the crap code I'm reading at work ... Anyways, you can be the one to tell us how good or crappy it is, I'll be looking forward to the review nonetheless  |
