Takara DMZ Votoms

Thought I share one of the most underrated releases from Takara.  There is metal content in this toy but it's mostly in the lower legs specifically in the lower shins and it varies from release to release depending on the bot.  I watched this series a few years ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the overall combat sequences.  While I am not a hardcore collector of Votoms I do own a few of the Yamato releases as well as a few from Takara.  


I really really love the weathering details that Takara employed into this line. Great articulation, clicky elbows and knees, forearms are spring loaded to mimick the animation of hydraulic powered punching action, and the really great details.

Looks great! I do have a few Votoms figures myself. Love the weathering on this one! Not too much, and not to little. Perfectly balanced.

wow very cool!! I need a Votoms represented in my collection as it is a classic era SR !nice job too btw!!! It's great to have you here dark friar!! I also love how the cockpit reveals the pilot excellent!

This time the focus is on the Rabidly Dog Votom the scopedog that is piloted by the main character towards the end of the show:

The big metal claw, yes the claw is diecast



Interesting gimmick with the back pack being a land mine layer... and threads for feet need that gumi pledge 









In general, this guy is bigger than the typical votom bot that is released in this series in terms of scale which, is accurate to the anime.

Love these man! Let me ask if I were to get one to represent the show in my collection which one is that? The main one I mean? Also this would look sick next to a dougram

They would look cool, but the scales would be way off. Dougram's head is larger than Scopedog's body! LOL

The green one Baron the green one, a good majority of the show primarily focuses on the green one as it is the primary grunt unit for the military. I'll put up some Votoms by Yamato soon enough to show the 1/12 scale of those beast when I have a chance later.

Yes, the Scopedog is the most iconic model. Specially the red shoulder version.
