That's right folks... the start of a KO toy thread ...
Another crazy product made by the toy company Wei Jiang. Not sure who these guys are from which outfit they came from but boy do they know how to make an awesome KO toy. All I can say is wow... the build quality and detailing done while not perfect is pretty darn close to being a better toy than most other companies out there does today... the toy is based off an old voyager transformer mold. I am not a michael bay fan of his take on the transformers movie representation, but the toy here from it makes you wonder what this company is capable of if they do decide to move on to another inferior toy and make it ridiculously awesome.
We have ratcheted shoulders, knees and hip joints front and back. There's diecast metal in the torso areas, and finally rubber tires. (If only Takara would take some notes in their Masterpiece lines with their equally if not more expensive toys ... )
Poseability on this toy is really amazing for a toy of this size and form.
Next to him was his original version from takara, the not so impressive bay-former toy... ( got a KO of it as well just to compare )
Details on this KO is pretty darn good...
Just some shots of the toy he once was before the KO re-cloning process......
See what I mean by being stupendous articulation:
A very clean back... no junk in the trunk
For comparison with Great Maz DX ( Yes, Maz would totally destroy him in case anyone is wondering )
Final thoughts... for a KO toy .. I'm very impressed. While no fan boy of this version of optimus and I literally don't care for the bay-former designs, I have to give credit where it is due. I just hope these guys continue to bemuse us with more KO's of other popular transformer figures, upscale the crap out of them and make us wonder why the hell isn't the Takara Tomy releasing stuff at this calibur for half their cost to us collectors..... I was so impressed by this company that I've bought the other optimus by this company as well the MPP10 and will share photos of that beautiful beast as well soon.
