Looks like yet another over-proportioned/non- anime accurate Mazinger. I think I'll pass. Never liked beefy versions of Mazingers. Getters I can live with, since in the msnga they were like that, but Mazingers, nope... not for me.

The chestplates are based on the old Toei version.. but this Mazinger is on steroids.. just like the Shin version. So what are they aiming for? Old look or new look?
Also. I think there are enough Mazingers out there, which you can choose from. I don't think I'll feel the urge to buy this one too.

Those weird SRC leg coils.I have a question when did Mazingers head first change from the early type with no rear neck guard and blue triangle on back of his head to the one that we see now with the curved back neck guard.Was it in The early movies like the team up and vs. movies? Or did it show up in Great Mazinger that way? As I can remember the original Maz show has the blue backed helmet with no neck guard through whole series. OK EDIT still has old helmet in Devilman film can clearly see blue back triangle where guard is later from side ...both pics below can't find a rear still but plenty in show shows blue triangle   Ok below is no neck guard without blue painted triangle  WAIT? This is old series helmet is later type? I know they grew things different artist to artist but back of head so completely different??  Mazinkaiser below ova NO guard!! Shin maz has guard.  SRC clearly has guard...  |
