How ironic MY GUESS is it's gonna be the TOEI Mazinger we've wanted. The one thing universal to only the Toei Maz is the blue backed helmet!

yes Gaiking but in actuality it IS the classic MaZinger as its from episode 1 lol. But I know what you mean the solidified classic.

Really? Man, it has been a long time since I've seen the TV show. I didn't remember that.

I guess the color of the back of Mazinger's head/neck changed from one episode to the next? The clip below is from Episode 1, and the back of Mazinger's head/neck looks grey.

I do remember one clip from an episode, which Mazinger's "mullet" was red.

may not be episode one but it's early on ... It's Definately blue on the back.
