Ok got the GX71 today you'll get honesty from me not with the other boards love to Rave about their nostalgia.first the bad the very bad blue lions leg was not even attached it was laying on top of the llion with a huge spring laying right in the middle of the Styrofoam ...like what Bandai?? This is a slip up not even CMs Grendizer could boast!. Easy fix but WHAAAT? Secondly I consider the next issue extremely bad it's in design the sword attachment is absolutely horrible as soon as you turn the arm with a sword in fist the peg pops and it goes limp in hand!!!! JUNK DESIGN! But my major peeve with this toy is the shoulder spread lock in design wow I guarantee after 10 or 15 times of unpegging the arm , or on clicking the latch it's going to get loose as hell and pop out every time you move the shoulder. And further insult to injury my left shoulder maybe because it's new ,I had to keep squeezing it back-and-forth because one latch was open and lion mode it would not lay flat in hand, but spring out slightly!! Ugggh this also made one side in Voltron mode look a bit more popped out!! Now with a bit of work it's perfect but i should NOT have had to play with it over and over to "oil the joint" I know sometimes on new joints blah blah BUT. this shoulder lock thing has extenders inside for more articulation in Lion mode,UNNECESSARY and I believe will compromise Robot mode if not now on some, Definately in the future on those played with a lot... The Good... HEAVY and looks better than madtoys because of nice color... .The End. 3.5 out of 5 Stick it on shelf and wait for next ET toy. Here he is with guests ..

Hmmm... wasn't Bandai supposed to be the absolute best at what they do? Oh well, I'm just happy I ordered mine from a store here in the USA at a very reasonable price ($260 shipped). I'll have to wait a month or so, but since I didn't really cared much for yet another "Popy" rendition of Golion, it works out perfectly fine for me. 😊

Oh one more issue if u go with the stickers yellow lions doesn't stay on it's curved part so lifts up I suggest better two way tape thin type.. oh and really this ends up being for " visitors" who don't know what the hell SRs are so I say " hey remember Voltron? There he is!" Other than that whatever.. the other board can talk about how great it is..!
I'm considering seriously removing the lion legs and do this right.. BIGGEST JOKE EVER.. ready.. MINE DID ACTUALLY COME WITH REMOVABLE LIONS LEGS!! Thanks for giving me mine off in the box as an OPTION PART!

Hmm, I wonder if you got a bad copy or if the factory skipped quality control on that batch. I am sorry to hear that.
My copy was delivered to my work today, so I will check it when I return to work this Thursday if not the weekend.

My copy was delivered to my work today, so I will check it when I return to work this Thursday if not the weekend. the only real quality control was the leg not popped in.. the other issue was just a new joint needing to be worked in.. the other issues are design like the sword peg SUiCKS it stays in but move the wrist a bit or just TOUCH the sword hilt and boom it comes out of the peg, gonna add a layer of plastic or something inside peg to make it tighten better, also In not the first to complain about the sticker issue on yellow lion.I mean all around it's ok but the leg looked to NEVER have been popped in, it Definately did not pop out in transit as it's IN now without a chance of popping out..I'm guessing they didn't pop all 3 pegs in on leg and it just came out.what a shock thinking it came BROKEN with that huge spring hanging out! But alas it just needed to be put together correctly. Just those few things although fixed or fixable made me lose faith in Bandai,I mean what? does making more units mean less QC??? Don't get me wrong I've never had any toy 100 percent perfect as none are! There is always a ratchet that doesn't click,a paint chip or something that's off , even with Bandai! Look at Mazinger DX!!

Have to agree with your comment about the biggest issue regarding the shoulder locks... Baron, not sure what happened there with the design team over at Bandai. It is by far superior in comparison to the king of beast bad boy but it can't do the side kick that the king of beast can pull off... so I guess it just about evens out in my book. Anyways... I finally got the my Golion SOC that I've been griping about all these years from Bandai. Now I can't help but wonder if they'll ever tackle my Dairugger in SOC. I really really want to see how it would turn out...

I have been busy hunting for a Nintendo NES Classic, and got nothing. I think that I have a better chance to find the Ark of the Covenant than this thing. Anyway, I did get my Voltron last Thursday. And I most say the box was heavy. Due to my hunting activities, I was only able to check the box contents. And I am pleased to say that quality is good.

Hell most will have theirs in Voltron mode which the shoulder articulation is not used unless you want a double grip sword..AND most pics of black lion have the shoulders locked, so for that extra bit of articulation and it's problems why add it?? On top of it it's awkward looking , lion don't need it and Voltron don't need it, for the sake of it being more "modern" by adding that it has very little use and problems now or in future will arise if used a lot.

Well, got an UPS tracking number already. Should be here Thursday. Not bad for a locally sourced new released SOC, and the total price is the best part! }D

I got mine just recently and I love mine. I don't know but I do. Sure I would have loved a couple parts swapping for anime accuracy. But piece is so solid and free of issues maybe I am lucky? Considering o have had duds before maybe I got the good one this time.
Still. I love the figure. I am sorry to those that do not
