When I first opened this box I couldn't believe how well packed it was from Toyer city toys and actually had those black pieces you see along with bubble wrap And a plastic bag.
My first impressions were that I could not believe the quality of the BU box ,the packaging ,it's a shoebox type where top slides off,the size of the toy its big! I was expecting Aoshima size .. ,the painting like the ones that come with great Mazinger etc.
I was ready to praise this company IN FULL! what an excellent job of aesthetics, the figure looks great! the paint job is great! the articulation is decent but needs work ..waist Ian's tummy crunch are there but are fickle, toy has some click joints but also off a bit.. the toe joint or lower foot is useless and just added to look like the big boys,it's a full joint but useless doesn't help in stances at all.. ...you can tell it's an early outing and the joints are silver colored plastic..I was so excited then ......................
I picked it up !! this thing is LIGHT!!!! I'd say 3 to 4 times lighter than any Aoshima Getter but much bigger?? It's ,about as heavy as a mid level SRC!!! I was in shock and boy oh boy is it plasticky ... The diecast is very minimal I'm not gonna go into what is diecast as it feels just plastic,a good plastic mind you,but NOT what i expected at all,LIGHT BIG TOY!!
It has a light up eyes chest gimmick but you need tiny watch batteries that I'll take out anyway so meh.The spikes on back do not individually move but the whole piece turns when on figure, nice touch,so you can have it up or down.H
Weapons are nice but all plastic and you get an extra set of different forearm blades .. at first where they are in package I thought they were for the legs. You get for other hands and one long acts and a double tomahawk axe that splits in two. Here are pics my review...
Presentation /packaging. 10
Look of figure ...... 9
Articulation. .... 6
Diecast/Weight...3
Paint..... 8
Shelf Presence 8
Overall I give it a 7.2looks good on shelf! Just a lightweight with weird articulation... things get in the way like the shoulder pads and head horns, forearm blades and back spikes conflict at times too, enjoy photos...
Back light up button and shoulder articulation and shoulder armor also articulated....
