An interesting topic came up in my family dinner tonight as my brother and I were chatting about the idea that with enough time will my collection of gokin bots will one day become worthless... as our generation of gokin collectors continue to age it is a possibility that my massive bots of sorts will one day end up in a heap of garbage whereby no one would admire or continue to cherish them as I had once did.... this brought about all sorts of jarred thinking in my head as to the end of where my collecting activities as led my obsession of the past.
Interestingly enough I don't really have a good answer at this moment as to the day when I should decide to let go my entire collection of bots to set of new collectors... I wonder when that day comes will anyone still cherish them as I do today or would it all just become trash as my little brother suggested...

It could, but that should not keep us from enjoying this hobby. I don't collect to sell (in the future). I collect because I enjoy collecting. When the time comes to get rid of the collection, it will mean that I don't care for it anymore. So be it then... }D

I'm just wondering if anyone would even care later so that I may send my bots to a good home when the time comes vs it being thrown away like trash, I keep reminding the missus this LOL. Investments is best left to the stocks and actual commodities than this hobby of ours so I totally agree on that point. (just realized grammatical miss earlier ... now this make more sense...)

Hmm. Not sure I believe that as when I show younger guys my figures they become interested. Time will tell though. I don't buy as an investment, I buy for my own pleasure of owning them. My son loves them.
