Well, well, well... Today I ran across a sale item in one of social media groups I frequent, which caught my eye immediately. It was a Marmit DaiGokin Mazinger Z with box for $100 USD plus Shipping! Now, the seller told me the figure has a broken leg, sheared off at the hip joint, as well as paint crazing on the lower legs. I remember that when the DaiGokin Mazinger was initially released, I bought one and quickly disassembled it (to remove the Jet Pileder). The figure is 99.5% metal, with the exception of the Jet Pilder's clear canopy and a few plastic parts on the joints. Obviously the metal is too heavy for some of the plastic parts, and that means that they will give out at some point.
Anyway, here are the pictures the owner posted:
So now, I'm just waiting for the payment request ($100 + shipping), so I can pay it and get this bad boy on the way here.
I'm definitely gonna have to repaint the lower legs, the forearms, and the fists in order to keep them the same shade of blue. I was also contemplating on MAYBE modifying the hip and knee joints a little so Mazinger can be a bit more posable. However, I might decide against doing so just because the figure is quite rigid and heavy, and I don't want it to be falling on it's face. We will see...
Updates soon.

I received the Dai Gokin Mazinger two days ago (Tuesday, 27DEC2022). The box was pristine, but unfortunately the figure had serious issues with die cast disintegrating in several places, mainly the legs and right forearm. As I was disassembling the Left lower leg covers, one of the die cast posts where the screw goes in, just crumbled apart. The die cast is really broken down in the lower legs, much more that in the thighs. I need to figure out how to stop it from crumbling to dust in the future, AND how to attach the two sides of the lower legs together since the screw posts are not reliable anymore. For some good news, I was able to scan the broken Left leg hip joint and design a 3D printed replacement that actually worked really well. The Marmit Dai Go-Kin Mazinger Z can now safely stand on its own! The new 3D printed joint is strong enough that it can handle the weight of the die cast leg without issues, even suppended in the air. So... I'll continue to brainstorm how to completely repair this big and heavy guy. }D
