Took a while, but it is fixed now and ready for printing. By the way, I've been trying to find a good image that shows Dai Apolon's neck, but haven't been able to do so. Anyone here knows if the neck is a square, a polygon (like Mazinger's), or round? }D

The neck is very small and protected like a NFL sanctioned football uniform. It is very hard to get a clear shot of it, but if I find it I will post it here. EDIT: Here is a shot after combination. If there is a better picture, I will keep you posted.

I modelled the neck squarish but goes from thick at the bottom then slimming down a bit at the top. Also this is a joint project so don't just name the thread with my name only.

But I have to, bro. Right now I'm just the printing service, like Shapeways. I haven't done anything for the model yet! }D

Well you're in charge of the joints and printing ain't an easy job. Anyone who does his share of the work deserves credit.

Okay, changed the title. LOL Currently printing the Dai Apolon's head. Hopefully it turns out alright. Also, just purchased a few magnetic spheres and blocks to try them out as the joints. They are Neodymium magnets, and supposed to be the most powerful permanent magnets in the world. Well, they better be! I paid $1 for each sphere!!! }D

I'm working on making the blades on the head larger, so they print out better. But it is hard since I'm unable to alter the original files directly. I have to make the blades from scratch and then super-impose them on the original file. This is why making these figure is so time consuming. I even checked out how it would print on Shapeways.com, and the results they showed me were even worse. Sooo, patience is the key here folks! }D

Well i could remodel the head fins and resend it to you if you want tmz Yes please! It would be a lot easier tgat way. Actually, if you could send me the head split into separate pieces, (head blades/horns/mouth guard pipes) I could adjust them as needed for better prints. Each part saved as an STL or even better, ssved as an OBJ will work great! }D

The magnetic spheres arrived today They are freaking strong! It was hell to separate just one of them from the bunch!!!
Now I'm waiting for the magnetic rectangles, which should be here in a few days. I'm sure these magnetic joints will work wonderfully, but they are pricey.

Wow! These magnetic spheres are the BOMB! They easily out-perform MANY of the mechanical joints used by Bandai and other big companies in their figures! That is a jewelers ANVIL! It is not light folks! The larger sphere is just a regular non-magnetic ball bearing. Check out how strong that little magnetic sphere is... it can lift the anvil by its tip, with almost no contact surface area!!! Yeah, these magnetic spheres will work just fine. }D
