Dengeki does not print magazines any more. These scans are either from Figure-Oh or Hobby Japan. oh ok didn't know that!

GX-70 at 1:02:00
It doesn't look like the eyes go dark after removing the Jet Pilder. See at 1:18:45
Also, it looks like the top of the head is shaped exactly right for holding the Jet Pilder. I've heard some fans hope for an alternate Hover Pilder with this release or maybe later, even though there is no Hover Pilder in the film this Mazinger Z is based on. That looks more doubtful now than ever.

Thanks for the video! Wow! They sure talked a lot to actually show nothing new! I have to say, either this figure is an engineering marvel, or the biggest Bait and Switch in Bandai history. The eyes did not change, the Scrander was not shown being attached or swithching its wings. The articulation was not used. Makes me wonder...

It could be because it is still a prototype.

No I think it's cuz these 3 are oblivious and no one gave them any instruction.. Hard to believe but sure looks it..

Bandai could have easily gave them a script, so they know what to do or talk about. My company does the same thing for trade shows, we have prototypes that on the outside look like shipping products but they are not 100% functional. So we tell the demonstrators what they can and cannot do during the trade show. It is common practice.

The non painted one is articulated so the painted one should be too no?they look too good to be just resin statues you can see joints etc.. Maybe this was just an afterthought this program and not an event to really showcase? Also a possibility.

The jet scrandle looks like a painted prototype to me. And the eye activation gimmick is clearly not dialed in. If you saw the video, the eyes activated when jet pilder was on, and the eyes did not revert back after the pilder was off. And if you look at the close-up pictures of the head, you can tell that it was poorly painted. Unlike the figure shown at C3Tokyo2016.
It is a nicely painted prototype.
