As much as I am exited to eventually get an anime accurate Mazinger-Z. I don't want for Bandai to focus on milking on "anime accurate" characters that they already released. I really want them to give me over due super robots like Dai Apolon, Govarian, God Mazinger, and Acrobunch among others... with ya on that !! But we sorely need a good Grendizer and Great Maz those two SOCs especially Grendizer are severely lacking. Love my CMs though.you know CFF I'm the first one to want those missing several SRs in my collection especially Daiapolon and Acrobunch.I could see an SOC Diapolon happening maybe but we get it from ET first I'm sure... Those two plus Govarian were well represented in vintage toys by Poem ,Poplar and Bullmark ..

Ya know I'm sorry but once and a while I check over at the Other place in case they catch something new just as I check MetalRobot and the other Italian forums or Toys Daily etc.. Well I have to say I'm proud of our board even though we only have a handful of really active members..we are adults.
Wow that other board is so juvenile ! Take a guess.. Several of them are WORRIED about the price of This Mazinger !!! WHAT? Their point is it's more expensive than SOC Gx01 and past SOC mazzes were !!! That was almost 20 years ago for god sake and the others long as hell too besides 40th which as far as I remember 40th was like 120$ so what's their point?20$ More is a worry?
Honestly this is a CHEAP as hell price for a great SOC outing ! I was expecting at least 175$ or crazy rumour prices, but to say 130 to 140$ is a worry? Also they are "hoping" and honestly thinking it may come with the base with water !! These people have been around how long? To be oblivious at this point makes me ill.Sorry had to vent.. Love you guys! VIVA SRW! Ok I get the economy and hard times etc but if you don't know what to expect from prices and are scared of a 130$ GREAT looking toy at this stage, and expecting to pay what you paid decades ago why are you in this hobby.. Go collect hot wheels and complain over pennies.

$140? I wipe my butt with $140...LOL...just kidding. I'd pay $180 for GX-70. $140 is a great price for it.
GX-01R 40th was sold by Amazon for $82.99 around March 2015, but it doesn't compare to GX-70. They are two completely different products.

Bro, I can count with the fingers on a chameleon's right hand, how many worthy "collectors" post in RJ... and still have fingers left. LOL I'm getting really excited about the GX-70 Mazinger. It's looking to be my definitive Mazinger Z figure! It's only two minor things that are poking me wrong are, the metallic colors (hot wheels paint), and the screw covers on the forearms. Fortunately, I think I can fix those two things without much effort, and then I'll be a 100% happy camper! }D

Is that your plan of attack? What about the head color? Gonna do a flat grey or leave it?

Yeah, I'll use some sort of filler and then paint it. The head is a little more problematic due to all the sharp angles and tiny size, but it can be done. I'll have to wait and see how it looks in person. }D

Or even use brushes with fresh thin paint and cover with gloss then do mouth and face by hand.. If you want I could easily do the face perfectly for you like how I did Z Maz models face I have the eye and steadiness up to u when u get there or I could do whole head for u .. Either way I'd do it free...

That is a sweet paint job, bro! I may take you up on the offer if I find it too difficult to do. Then again, it may look just fine when in person, who knows. }D

I just have fun doing it!! It's not as glossy in hand the flash did that and it's blown up in size so it's perfect line wise at this size so it's seriously sharp detailed in its real life size!Lets see what you do with it first!!🐸

I hate Figma and these overly articulated human figures..too many odd joints etc they could have easily done a thin skin on Devilman and upped the price point .. the enterbay Bruce Lee figures sometimes have the extra skin .. Even a thin material would look better in my opinion.A lot of room for growth .. Hot Toys 1/6 figures seem to be the only innovative human figures.. I realize the scale is bigger but..a triple jointed shoulder cuff is super unsightly Ina human figure.

Dengeki does not print magazines any more. These scans are either from Figure-Oh or Hobby Japan.
