Same here. But if I was going to buy one, I would choose the Gokin Gear base. As shown on pictures from that other forum, it looks that it will be shipped as an assembly kit. Which could save money on shipping.

I have to be honest here... I'll most likely buy one, even if I don't have the space for it. And yes, I think the Gokin Gear would be my choice as well. }D

Hi all,
Pampanga in the Philippines is known for wood carving. They have an industry selling wooden model desk display aircraft, so I assume wood is the popular medium.
Since the Camp Big Falcon is hand-made, the time to produce a set will take longer and quality control will differ from a mass-produced/kit model.
Lastly, shipping from the Philippines to the rest of the world is surprisingly expensive! For a wood model, surface shipping is best, but the parts could be damaged while in transit.
Just my 0.2 cents worth.....
Cheers,

Thanks for the info 70srfan! Really love all the lights in the wooden set. I wonder how much total it would cost to the USA.

Hi all,
I assume the shipping cost for the wooden CBF via surface/sea mail may run into U.S. $200+. If via air mail it'll probably be double. Even if that puppy were to be shipped, I fear damaged parts in transit.....
cheers,

I actually saw that wood base a few years ago, it's big and looks really, really heavy (it's wood! ). I hope the Gokin Gear one can be affordable. But I would love to see them give us the option to put lights in it. That would be epic. As for where to put it, lol... probably as a center piece on a coffee table? Gold
